New York, NY, - May 3, 2016 - Joomla!, one of the world’s most popular open source content management systems (CMS) used for everything from websites and blogs to custom apps and Intranets, announced today that OSTraining is the RFP winner for the Joomla! Free Video Training. This partnership will make it even easier to get started with Joomla!.
The contract has been granted to OSTraining by Open Source Matters (OSM) - the not for profit organisation, created to provide organisation, legal and financial support to the Joomla! project.
The selection of trainings will cover the basics, maintenance and also improving your Joomla! website.
“We are very pleased that we together with OSTraining will be able to lower the learning curve for new Joomla! users. Especially the non-developers. This is also an awesome opportunity for Joomla! users of all experience levels to learn Joomla! best-practices. This service will also make it easier than ever to keep up with the new functions, improvement and enhancement in the Joomla! CMS. “ says the President of Open Source Matters, Sarah Watz.
Steve Burge, CEO of OSTraining, says: “We want to make sure that as many people as possible can use Joomla. Many new Joomla! users need training, which can be expensive to access. The goal of this partnership is to give everyone free access to the very best Joomla! training.”
The launch of training.joomla.org, where users can find the FREE video trainings, will be in the end of May.
